Rushing down the endless STAIRCASE, the hero SPINEL makes his way to the remains of his dear FRIEND. Nothing can be done now; MARCIE is broken forever, and it is fate that Spinel could never bring Marcie back home with him.

Rising from the wet pavement, Marcie's remains in hand, Spinel climbs the TOWER once more, his RAGE empowering him beyond his limits as he SMASHES through the Shadows and rises to face GOD.

The HEAVENS are cold, and his strength begins to sap as he climbs into the CLOUDS.

And as he takes his first STEP into Heaven, the ANGELS greet him with a haunting melody. This is where all comes to REST. Spinel closes his eyes...

Two BOYS, no older than fourteen years, sit on the carpet floor, hunched in front of a CRT TELEVISION with CONTROLLERS in hand. They are waging WAR. The boy with the SCARF wins against all odds, thanks only to his AUTOMATON companion.

Ripped from his dream, the voice of the GODDESS TEFKA rings through Spinel's head, and a BEEP rings through Spinel's ears. He rises to his feet on the roof of the Tower, gazing up at the black clouds above. He knows what he must do.

Returning to the alleyway. Spinel reclaims his CUSTOM BICYCLE and rides into the city, the four SPINELS that came before him watching from afar as he fulfills his destiny.

MARCIE will be saved.
